The Center for Peace is a non-profit, volunteer, outreach arm of the Islamic Society of Central Florida, that works to dispel stereotypes and misconceptions about Islam and Muslims.

The Center for Peace was founded after the tragedies of September 11, 2001, responding to the need for information about Islam and Muslims.

The Center for Peace is dedicated towards this outreach effort here in the Central Florida region. We have seen an increase in dedication of our volunteers; a heightened awareness in the immediate Muslim community about the need to reach out and a greater acceptance in the larger Central Florida community of who we are and what we believe; more activities, more events, more volunteers and more generous donations.

The objective of the Center is to facilitate and coordinate outreach efforts in the Central Florida community by promoting understanding and acceptance amongst people of all faiths and all backgrounds.

With the mission in mind that education builds tolerance and understanding, the Center for Peace continues to bond people for unity and peace.
